I would have a picture here...but I ALWAYS have problems posting pics through blogger...it's always a hit or miss and tonight was a miss....anybody else have problems here???
To sum up my weekend: Amazing, peaceful, relaxing, fun, and Good eat'n!!
We laughed, played, and chatted until WAY PAST OUR BEDTIME!!
The kids laughed, played, fished and tried out karaoke, and abi chatted to anyone who would listen until way past her bedtime.
My brother in law showed up my hubby...he actually drove to DQ and brought me back a Blizzard...hey Rob, does it look like snow anytime soon??? Just remember 312 Wales!!!
Abi was amazed at the fact that auntie ann can actually make play-doh AND that abi could play with it whenever she wanted. You see the poor child has parents who can't stand play-doh, the smell, and touch! So, when auntie ann asked if she wanted to play...well, it was a highlight to her weekend.
My wonderful nephew made me sugar cookies. THE most yummiest tasting cookies ever, which aided in my weekend long snacking.
Oh, and Billy? He enjoyed himself too...in between his drug induced stupor he actually got in a visit or two.
My favorite abi conversation from the weekend:
"mommy?"
"yes abi?"
"are we gonna live here?"
"no sweetie, just visiting"
"mommy?"
"yes, abi?"
"did you know that animals eat people?"
"no they don't honey, sometimes they feel like they need to protect
themselves and their families, so they will hurt people, and sometimes pretty badly...but they don't eat them." ...give me a break would ya, it was 3 in the morning!!!
"yes they do"
"no they don't"
"mommy?"
"WHAT ABI!"
"uncle rob is pretty silly eh?"
"yes, honey he is. and he is full of love too."
"yup...I'm pretty lucky aren't I?"
"yes you are abi, blessed...now go to sleep!"
"okay."
"mommy?"
"abigail grace..."
"I love my uncle"
"me too...goodnight"
"and auntie..."
"abi, bedtime"
"and marissa and nathanial...but nathanial is a boy and me and
marissa and you are grils (girls)"
"yes, abi...we love our family"
"yup....goodnight mommy"
Have a great week.
Oh, to explain the picture that should have been posted, but isn't. Max the Moose is Dryden's "official" mascot. While Billy's grandfather was alive and well, he painted the moose every summer. Billy was very close to his grandfather, and enjoys talking about him. Sooo, one of the things Billy wanted to make sure we did while in Dryden was to get a picture of the moose and his daughter...and we did, and it's really hard to tell that it's abi and billy in the pic because the Moose is so huge.
